Emulsified Bitumen

Emulsified bitumen is a water-based bitumen mixture used in road construction, waterproofing, and cold asphalt applications. It offers energy efficiency, safety, and ease of application compared to hot bitumen. Available in cationic (for paving) and anionic (for waterproofing) types, it reduces emissions and speeds up project timelines. Green Vision Group supplies high-quality emulsified bitumen in bulk for global infrastructure projects.

Emulsion bitumen is a specialized type of bitumen dispersed in water with the aid of emulsifying agents. Unlike traditional hot bitumen, it can be applied at ambient temperatures, offering a cost-effective, energy-efficient, and environmentally friendly alternative. Its composition typically includes three main components: bitumen (around 50–70%), water, and an emulsifier (about 0.3–1%). Widely used in road construction and maintenance, emulsion bitumen is particularly effective for applications such as surface dressing, tack coats, prime coats, and slurry seals. By eliminating the need for heating during application, it reduces both energy usage and emissions. This material comes in cationic, anionic, and nonionic variants, with cationic emulsion being the most commonly used in modern road projects.

Key Benefits

  • Cold Application: Operable without the need for heating, leading to reduced fuel consumption and a smaller environmental footprin
  • Enhanced Safety: Decreased risk of fire hazards or burns compared to traditional hot bitumen.
  • Superior Adhesion: Exceptional bonding capability with aggregates, evenunderdamp condition
  • Cost-Effective: Reduces reliance on heavy equipment and high-temperature operation
  • Environmentally Friendly:Produces a lower carbon footprint throughits cold-mix methodology.
  • Flexible Curing Options: Offers slow-setting (SS), medium-setting (MS), and rapid-setting (RS) grades tailored for various us
